This is for Brian since I know he has some handling skill issues.
Bike Skills for the City is a 4 session bike safety course sponsored
by the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia and the Delaware
Valley Regional Planning Commission. Course will be held at Huntsman
Hall 38th and Walnut, Wednesday evenings 10/22, 10/29, 11/6 with an
on-road session on Saturday November 8. Cost for University City
Students is $25 and $40 for the General Public (minimum age 18).
Highlights of the Course:
*Bicycles and Traffic Law
*Your rights and responsibilities as a cyclist
*Handling yourself in traffic
*Preventing bike theft
*Local bike maps and trail resources
*Taking your bike on transit
*Common on-road repairs
Course fee includes snacks, beverages, bike helmet, patch kit, tube
and rear light. Free guarded bike parking hosted by Neighborhood Bike
Works
